Product Description Thermoguard Thermoproof Exterior Fluid is a fire proof fluid for bare timbers such as sleepers, fencing, cladding and decking. The fluid penetrates deep into porous wood and when exposed to fire creates an inert layer to help insulate the wood. The weather resistant, water-based, non flammable formula enables safe application by untrained and inexperienced users. Durable clear fire and flame resistant fluid for exterior wood which allows the wood to weather naturally. Thermoguard Thermoproof Exterior Fluid must be able to penetrate the wood in order to be effective. Any water resistant coatings, sealer coats, waxes, paints or waterproofing treatments must removed before application of the fluid. Try Thermoguard Thermostrip Thermoguard Thermoproof Application: Apply to bare wood in dry conditions above 5ºC and allow to completely dry out before applying paint or waterproofing. Thermoproof exterior fluid is water based and environmentally friendly. Apply at 3.5m² per litre. Normally applied in 3 coats at 10.5m² per litre but can be applied in 2 coats at 7m² per litre on very porous, rough sawn wood. Ensure each application has fully soaked in before applying the next. Allow a minimum of 2 hours between applications. Fire certificates are available free of charge, please contact us with your requirements before ordering. Please Note: If certification is required, an intumescent enquiry form must be completed prior to purchase of the product, as this will ensure the correct quantity is applied to achieve the fire rating.
