Where it works best Anti-condensation paint is ideal for: Bathrooms (with good ventilation) Kitchens Bedrooms External-facing walls and corners North-facing rooms Areas behind wardrobes and furniture Rooms with poor heating or airflow What anti-condensation paint does: Reduces surface condensation risk by improving thermal performance of walls and ceilings Helps inhibit mould growth on treated surfaces Creates a protective layer that resists moisture absorption Improves the appearance of condensation-prone areas What anti-condensation paint doesn’t do: Fix underlying leaks or penetrating damp (these need structural repairs) Replace proper ventilation or heating (condensation prevention requires airflow) Work on surfaces with active water ingress or rising damp Eliminate condensation entirely without ventilation improvements For best results, combine anti-condensation paint with good ventilation (extractor fans, open windows) and adequate heating.
