Description DESCRIPTION Sikament®-512 star PK is a highly efficient water-reducing agent and superplasticizer designed for producing high-quality, free-flowing concrete in hot climates. It is ideal for use in tropical and warm environments. USES Sikament®-512 star PK is used in situations requiring high-quality concrete, especially under challenging placement conditions and extreme climates. CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES Sikament®-512 star PK offers the following benefits: As a Superplasticizer: Significantly improves workability without increasing water content or causing segregation. Provides long-lasting control of slump loss. Does not negatively affect final strengths. As a Water Reducer: Results in high ultimate strengths. Achieves water reductions greater than 15%. Particularly effective in hot climates. Does not cause excessive air-entrainment. No adverse impact on shrinkage. Enhances surface finish and increases water-tightness. APPROVALS / STANDARDS Sikament®-512 star PK complies with the requirements of ASTM C494, Type G. PRODUCT INFORMATION Chemical Base: Organic polymer blend Packaging: 5 L jerry can 20 L plastic can 200 L drum 1000 L IBC Bulk supply available upon request Shelf Life: 12 months from production if stored properly in unopened, original packaging Storage Conditions: Store in a dry area between 5°C and 35°C, away from direct sunlight Appearance / Colour: Brown liquid Specific Gravity: ~1.16 at 25°C Solid Content by Weight: ~30% pH Value: ~5-8 at 25°C Total Chloride Ion Content: Nil APPLICATION INFORMATION Recommended Dosage: 0.8–3% by weight of cement. Trial mixes should be conducted to determine the precise dosage. Dispensing: Sikament®-512 star PK can be added directly to the freshly mixed concrete or to the mixing water before the aggregates are added. If added separately to the mix, further mixing should occur for at least one minute per cubic meter. Compatibility: Sikament®-512 star PK is compatible with Sika products such as SikaPump, Sika FerroGard-901, and SikaFume. It is also compatible with sulphate-resistant cement.
