Product Description Thermoguard Dualcoat Smoke and Flame Retardant Topcoat is a water based decorative topcoat that forms part of an intumescent system for wood, internal steel and cast iron. For wood surfaces, Timbercoat Intumescent should be used as the basecoat. For internal steel or cast iron, use Thermocoat WI or Thermoguard WO, depending on the shape. Thermoguard Dualcoat creates “cross links” in the surface during the drying process. This creates a smooth, durable and cleanable surface by eliminating microscopic pockets that can host bacteria. [email protected]. We will then reply with the amount and thickness you need to apply to achieve the required fire rating. This will also provide you with a reference number, which you will need in order to receive certification once the paint is applied.
