It is ideal for the installation of sanitary fittings, drainage systems and the maintenance of concrete floors, paths and steps. Bostik Rapid Setting Cement sets underwater making it especially suitable for emergency repairs to drains. Bostik Rapid Setting Cement is suitable for: patch repairs to concrete floors, paths, steps etc., emergency repairs to drains, fixing sanitary installations, filling service apertures around pipes and conduits. MIXING 4. Bostik Rapid Setting Cement can be mixed in the bucket using a trowel. Mix the material thoroughly. 5. Mix the required amount in the ratio of 1kg powder to 0.25 litres of water. Mix thoroughly, stirring constantly until a smooth paste is achieved. 6. Do not allow to stand while mixing as this could result in a lumpy mix. 7. Mix only sufficient for application within 10 minutes. APPLICATION 8. Apply the mortar with a trowel to the prepared area. Press the mortar well into the cavity and compact to ensure a good bond. Ensure the minimum width of the gap to be filled is 1mm. 9. Protect the mortar from inclement weather conditions and direct sunlight until cured. 10. Cover completed work with polythene or sprinkle with water to prevent mortar drying out too quickly. CLEANING 11. Clean tools and equipment with warm soapy water immediately after use. PRECAUTIONS IN USE Colour indicated on pack is a guide only. It is recommended that users mix a small amount of cement and allow to dry to determine colour suitability before commencing work. Shade variations may occur between different batches. When completing projects requiring multiple buckets, please ensure they are from the same batch.
