0513-0518 Power Loop Elastics

$24.78 $38.41
POWER LOOP Power Loop High-strength elastic bands 1000 mm long. These bands can be used for multiple applications: pull-up assistance, training with barbells, resistance running, free-body exercises with increased resistance, general conditioning. Six resistance levels. All Power Loop Bands include the Sidea branding. Power Loop Bands are sold separately to allow the customer to order the ones that better suit their needs. Suitable for home gyms or to equip a large training facility. To allow a practical and useful guideline between the different color-coded bands, we indicate their resistance level in Kg. The first measure refers to the effort for the band to begin to deform, and the second refers to when stretched up to 200 cm. Available model: Cod. 0513 red color SLIM 05 kg. Resistance stretched at 200 cm: 06 kg Cod. 0514 black color MINI 10 kg. Resistance stretched at 200 cm: 12 kg Cod. 0515 color purple XLIGHT 15 kg. Resistance stretched at 200 cm: 20 kg Cod. 0516 color green LIGHT 20 kg. Resistance stretched at 200 cm: 30 kg Cod. 0517 blue color MEDIUM 25 kg. Resistance stretched at 200 cm: 50 kg Cod. 0518 orange color STRONG 30 kg. Resistance stretched at 200 cm: 60 kg These are approximate values expressed in kilograms to provide a practical guideline. The Power Loop 0518, orange, very resistant, begins to stretch with a tension equal to 30 kg, reaching 60 kg when its elongation arrives at one meter. Resistance levels ranging from 0513 to 0516 are the most used in assisted Muscle Ups. Insight: the Power Loop   Power loops are closed loop elastic bands, found in various sizes and resistances, and have become very popular in recent years due to the growing interest in functional training. Resistance with elastic loop bands is already well-known and has been used for years by many athletic trainers and/or calisthenics experts. Athletic trainers no longer so young will well remember the use of bicycle wheel inner tubes used to strengthen muscles, perform pulling exercises, or as “spotters” for more difficult exercises. One of the greatest forerunners of auxotonic training is German national soccer team physiotherapist Erich Deuser. As early as the early 1950s he had a ring band produced so that he could strengthen and train the musculoskeletal system of his athletes and noticed great benefits in treating through specific exercises the ailments of his patients. He also wrote a manual, “Die Deuserband Gymnastik,” which is a kind of vademecum on exercises that can be done with elastic resistance. Already in this book one can find the term “functional training,” which is precisely why, from the very beginning, the power loop represents an excellent product that one can use in one’s functional training programs. Benefits and versatility   The Power loop is a comfortable, lightweight and versatile piece of equipment that is easy to use and easy to carry wherever you want: to the park, on vacation, at work or on the playground. It comes in different sizes and strengths, from the smallest, model SLIM cod. 0513 (red color, 6 kg of resistance measured at 100 cm stretch) to the largest, model STRONG cod. 0518 (orange color, 60 kg of resistance measured at 100 cm stretch). One of its greatest advantages is the possibility of being able to anchor it to any fixed and non-fixed structure: whether it is a bar on which we can perform pull-ups, a hook on the floor or our own feet, the power loop allows us to perform any kind of exercise in absolute safety. Power Loop and training   The use of this product is often associated with sports practice, especially in athletic training, and functional training. So many athletic trainers in fact supplement specific strength sessions with more dynamic and explosive exercises with the Power Loop. The type of muscle contraction is auxotonic and increases progressively as the elastic band is stretched. In field exercises it is preferred to the use of weights because it is “personalized,” that is, it responds differently depending on the strength and explosiveness of the user. In fact, thanks to this feature, the time required for loading and/or unloading the barbell is almost eliminated since its use is quick and easy. It is usually proposed as an “aid” in the execution of exercises such as Pull-ups and Muscle-ups, as it gives a thrust, depending on the resistance of the Loop itself, that allows the full execution of the required movement. This is one of the many uses it can have but it would be really reductive to entrust it only with this feature. The Power Loop in fact allows the execution of all 7 fundamental movements: Squat: front squat – overhead squat – tempo squat – split squat Lunge: forward/backward/lateral lunge Bend: good morning – deadlift – swing Rotation: trunk rotation – woodchop Pull: high row – low row – alternate row – pull up – chin up Push: chest press – overhead press – triceps extension – dip Locomotion: running – skip – shuffle – jump squat These are some examples of exercises that can be performed with the Power Loop. Usually its use is proposed in the warm up and cool down phases as it allows the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular apparatus to properly learn the movement to be performed without requiring sudden and explosive contractions, which could be “harmful” if not ready for such efforts. Another feature is that of “full body activation.” In order to properly perform the exercise, the Power Loop requires core activation as the type of muscle contraction, auxotonic, creates continuous destabilization and without voluntary control and good proprioception it would be impossible to perform the movement. Its use, especially when associated with the specific sporting gesture, allows the development of several skills: agility, speed, power and endurance. It is no coincidence that several athletic trainers use the Power Loop as an active resistance to be overcome during various movements, tying it to the athlete’s waist or placing an end to the limb to be strengthened. In the case of a tennis player, for example, it can be effectively applied to the waist or arms, holding one end of the Power Loop in the hand so as to simulate the racket. Fitness and more The use of the Power Loop is not confined only to the world of sports and fitness, but can also be expanded to holistic and physical therapy activities. In holistic activities it offers resistance that is modified and managed according to the user. It is also excellent for general toning exercises but also as an aid for stretching and postural exercises. The advantage is that it allows the body to reach certain positions slowly and gradually and to be able to maintain them without problems and fatigue. In physiotherapy, the Power Loop creates, as already mentioned, a destabilization that forces our body to modulate movements by activating the deep muscles, the stabilizing muscles. Whether it is a rotator cuff strengthening exercise or a power walk performed with a belt, the elastic band will allow the performance of the exercise by activating all the proprioceptive systems of our body in a way that modulates its action. Maintenance This product is made of Latex Material. This material has the tendency over time to deteriorate while the chemical agents responsible for the elasticity evaporate. To prolong the lifespan of this product it’s possible to follow some simple steps: Avoid keeping the elastics in the open air, or especially under the Sun or strong lights: light emissions and UV Rays together with Air are accelerants for the deterioration of the Latex. If possible, after use store them in airtight bags. Avoid using the elastics anchoring them on racks or storages or any part with a sharp edge. To wash use only tepid water. Do not use cleaning products: alcohols, degreasers, oils, all are aggressive for this material. After washing and possibly always before use you need to cover the elastic in Talc powder. The Talc reduces a lot the deteriorating process, and helps in the use of the elastics, avoiding grip on hands or feet and giving also a more pleasant sensation. As soon as you receive the elastics, and then regularly every 2-3 months, after washing it with tepid water, you can proceed to the lubrification of the elastic using only silicon based lubrificants. This process can help maximising the lifespan of the elastic, avoiding the classic white coating that happens on elastics over time. Do not experiment cleaning or lubrificating the elastics with products, even those that can seem harmless: Vaseline oil for example is very damaging for the lates. Same way degreasers, anti-bacterials products may damage the chemical composition of the Latex in the elastics. Versione Italiana
