SUPPORT CUSHION The Support Cushion is made of polyurethane foam, covered with PVC. This crunch mat is useful in all applications where it is necessary to count with comfortable support that doesn’t easily deform. Thanks to the high density of polyurethane, the cushion does not deform even when subject to heavy loads. The abdominal support cushion can be used as lumbar, cervical, or legs/arms support during exercises or treatments. The contoured arch shape allows placing the cushion with maximum adaptability. Support Cushion is also widely used to target upper abs and lower abs. Placed under the lumbar area, it facilitates the lengthening of the rectus abdominis during the AB crunches, sit-ups, and leg lifts. Placed under the lumbar area, it in fact facilitates the stretching of the rectus abdominis during crunches, performing the function of support for the spine so as to support the physiological lumbar curve. This is an important application, as attempting to restore one curve of the spine can positively affect the proper restoration of all other curves and postural alignment. After all, respecting or restoring the correct conformation of the spine is of great importance, both for well-being and for sports performance. In addition, through the positioning of the cushion it is possible to vary the intensity of the crunches. Other uses of the Support Cushion Another way to use the Support Cushion can be in the prone position. Resting the chest on the cushion at the height of the xiphoid process of the sternum, align the outstretched arms above the head while also lifting the feet off the floor. The only point of contact will then be that of the chest on the pillow. The exercise is to emphasize movement and especially activation, of the posterior chain in its entirety.
