Description Uses Sikafloor®-1 MetalTop should only be applied by experienced professionals. It creates a non-staining, extremely hard-wearing metallic dry shake topping for monolithic concrete floors. When applied to fresh, wet concrete and troweled in, it forms a coloured, highly abrasion-resistant, smooth, and dense surface. Typical applications include: Warehouses Heavy-duty distribution centers Factories and manufacturing facilities Transport terminals Power stations Characteristics / Advantages Highest abrasion resistance rating Superior impact resistance Non-staining and non-corrosive Long-lasting and cost-effective floor solution Requires minimal maintenance Can provide a slip-resistant surface Dust-proof Optional anti-static properties Available in various colours Approvals / Certifications Cement-based screed CT-C70-F7-AR0.5 according to EN 13813, with CE marking Cement-based screed Afl according to EN 13813, with CE marking Chinese standard: JC/T 906 Type II Product Information Composition: A mixture of crushed and graded ferro silicon aggregates, cement, pigments, and additives Packaging: 25 kg bags Shelf Life: 12 months from the production date Storage Conditions: Keep in the original, sealed packaging in a dry environment at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C Appearance & Colour: Powder form in natural concrete grey, with other colours available upon request Density: ~2750 kg/m³ (after 28 days) Technical Information Abrasion Resistance: Class AR0.5 (EN13892-4, BCA) Class A1.5 (EN 13892-3, Böhme) 400% (II ≥ 350%) (JC/T906) Low BCA abrasion depth (~20 μm), and Böhme up to 1.5 cm³/50 cm² System Structure: Substrate: Fresh concrete slab (See substrate quality below) Dry Shake Application: Manual or machine application of Sikafloor®-1 MetalTop Surface Levelling: Achieved using power trowel or laser screed Final Smoothing: Done with a power trowel Curing: Use Sikafloor® ProSeal series products as per the Product Data Sheets Application Information Consumption: Approximately 7 kg/m², depending on the application method and the concrete mix (w/c ratio) Layer Thickness: ~2.5–3.0 mm at the recommended consumption rate of 7.0 kg/m² Ambient Air Temperature: Minimum 5°C, maximum 35°C Relative Air Humidity: Minimum 30%, maximum 98% Substrate Temperature: Minimum 5°C, maximum 35°C Curing Times Foot Traffic: 10°C: ~18 hours 20°C: ~12 hours 30°C: ~8 hours Fully Serviceable: 10°C: ~10 days 20°C: ~7 days 30°C: ~5 days These curing times depend on the concrete achieving its designed strength and will vary with changes in ambient temperature and relative humidity.
