Description MASTER SEAL 536 is a two-part, pre-packaged system consisting of acrylic polymer (Part A) and a premixed powder (Part B). When mixed, it forms a smooth, brushable slurry that adheres excellently to most substrates. This product is made from selected synthetic resins, high-quality hard-wearing aggregates, performance additives, and cements. RECOMMENDED FOR MASTERSEAL 536 is designed for use as an effective waterproofing membrane on various surfaces, including: Waterproofing coatings for the internal faces of sumps, planter boxes, etc., before tiling or finishing. Treating terraces, balconies, and floors in kitchens and bathrooms as a protective layer against water ingress. Waterproofing bridge and flyover decks before applying the wearing course to safeguard the concrete from rainwater penetration. FEATURES AND BENEFITS Cost-Effective: A general-purpose solution requiring minimal surface preparation, making it economical to apply. Vapor Permeable: Allows the surface to breathe, preventing the build-up of vapor pressure. Flexible: Capable of handling moderate movements and hairline cracks. Brushable Consistency: Easy to apply by brush or spray. PERFORMANCE DATA Pull-off Bond Strength: >1.0 N/mm² Water Penetration Test (0.5 kg/cm²): <1.0 mm ESTIMATING DATA The minimum recommended coverage of MASTERSEAL 536 is 1.0 to 1.5 kg/m² to achieve a film thickness of 0.5 mm to 0.8 mm per coat. Actual coverage may vary depending on the application method, surface texture, and porosity. Approximate material requirement: 2 kg/m² for a 1 mm thick coating. PROPERTIES Part A (Liquid): White Part B (Powder): Grey Mixed Material: Grey Slurry Working Time: @ 20°C: 1 hour (approx.) @ 30°C: 0.5 hours (approx.) Application Temperature: >5°C APPLICATION Surface Preparation: Ensure that surfaces are clean, structurally sound, and free from contaminants. Remove any laitance, loose particles, and other contaminants through methods such as wet grit blasting or high-pressure water jetting. Mixing: Use mechanical mixing with a slow-speed electric drill (600 rpm) and a wing-type paddle. Mix for at least 3 minutes until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved. Placing: Apply the mixed material evenly with a stiff brush or spray. Ensure the area is protected from direct sun and wind to avoid premature drying. The total film thickness should be 1 to 2 mm on vertical and overhead surfaces, and 1 to 3 mm on horizontal surfaces. Apply in at least two coats, with each subsequent coat applied after the previous one has dried. CURING To ensure proper curing, prevent rapid drying by protecting the surface from high temperatures and wind. Curing methods like wet burlap, polyethylene sheets, or curing compounds such as MASTERKURE 181 are recommended. CLEANING Clean tools and equipment with water before the product hardens. PACKAGING MASTERSEAL 536 is available in 25 kg packs: Part A: 5.60 kg carboy Part B: 19.40 kg bag (packed in a multi-ply paper sack with a polythene liner) Bulk packaging is available for larger projects. SHELF LIFE MASTERSEAL 536 has a shelf life of 12 months from the manufacturing date when stored in tightly sealed, original packaging in a cool, dry place.
